Congratulations to our local students who now have the freedom of the road.
We are delighted that the following learner drivers, who are all from the Chatham area have now completed the learner syllabus and are now proud owners of full driving licences.
A massive congratulations to Michelle Bonacorssi from Chatham on passing her practical driving test on the first go on the 29th of August 2019.
Michelle has had a tricky couple of years and received a heart transplant earlier this year and after getting back on her feet her full UK driving license was high on her list.
Michelle is now after buying herself a car and getting back into the line of work she enjoys.
All the best from your driving instructor Dave Bond and all the team here at Redy2Drive Driving School.
A massive congratulations to Jess Hook from Chatham on passing her practical driving test 1st time on the 12th of October 2019.
Jess so wanted to pass her driving test 1st time, with 6th form in Gillingham, work at Dockside and Bluewater so having that full UK driving licence will give Jess all the freedom and independence she wants.
Well done Jess from your Driving Instructor John Edy and the all the team here at Redy2drive Driving School.
Another great result with Charlotte from Chatham passing her driving test on the 2nd January 2020.
The daily commute to work will be so much easier now not relying on public transport and hopefully will be the start of things to come on the work front.
What a great start to the New Year and decade.
All the best from your driving instructor Dave Bond and all the team at Redy2Drive Driving School.
A huge well done to Alex Green from Chatham on passing his driving test on the 15th January 2020.
Alex will be the first to admit that anxiety plays a crucial part in his life and sometimes it can be a struggle.
Over the recent months we have built up a good friendship which has put Alex at ease allowing him to really concentrate on learning to drive to a high standard and this has now been proved by passing his test with flying colours.
I am very proud to have been Alex’s driving instructor and to have helped him achieve his goal.
“I used to think that my anxiety would impede me from driving, and I held it off for years because I couldn’t imagine being able to cope, but I’m so glad I made the leap with Redy2Drive.
In the past few months with Dave, I have been able to make more progress than I had ever thought possible, culminating in a successful driving test yesterday.
His calm approach immediately helped to put me at ease and upon making any little errors, for which I’d normally berate myself, he’d simply happily tell me not to apologise, and to treat it as part of the process.
His positive and constructive feedback motivated me to continue pressing forward, and through chatting we were quickly able to build good rapport.
A driving lesson gradually changed from a daunting prospect to simply a drive around with a friend, and his faith in my ability spread to me and improved my confidence, to such a point that I was able to master my nerves on the day of my test, and show my examiner what I had been taught so well.
Through accommodating for my condition, yet still challenging me, Dave showed me that my anxiety needn’t be a barrier to my driving success, and I can proudly say that with his help, I haven’t given up and allowed it to hold me back.
Having a licence now affords me so much freedom, and I cannot thank Dave enough for making it possible, nor can I recommend him highly enough to anyone looking to learn how to drive, regardless of their mental health and self-confidence. A thousand thanks to Redy2Drive”
