My Son passed first time after learning to drive with John. The whole experience was very positive with Sam passing just over 2 months from his first lesson.

After having trouble learning to drive with other companies, I was persuaded to join ‘Redy2drive’ and it was honestly the best choice I’ve ever made! I used to think that my anxiety would impede me from driving, and I held it off for years because I couldn’t imagine being able to cope, but I’m so glad I made the leap with Redy2Drive. In the past few months with Dave, I have been able to make more progress than I had ever thought possible, culminating in a successful driving test yesterday. His calm approach immediately helped to put me at ease and upon making any little errors, for which I’d normally berate myself, he’d simply happily tell me not to apologise, and to treat it as part of the process. His positive and constructive feedback motivated me to continue pressing forward, and through chatting we were quickly able to build good rapport. A driving lesson gradually changed from a daunting prospect to simply a drive around with a friend, and his faith in my ability spread to me and improved my confidence, to such a point that I was able to master my nerves on the day of my test, and show my examiner what I had been taught so well. Through accommodating for my condition, yet still challenging me, Dave showed me that my anxiety needn’t be a barrier to my driving success, and I can proudly say that with his help, I haven’t given up and allowed it to hold me back. Having a licence now affords me so much freedom, and I cannot thank Dave enough for making it possible, nor can I recommend him highly enough to anyone looking to learn how to drive, regardless of their mental health and self-confidence. My son has just passed his test today first time and this is all down to the excellent teaching of John. The two hour lessons are perfect for them to absorb the information being taught and allows them to travel further and experience more road conditions

Dave is an amazing instructor who becomes more like a friend when you learn with him. His continuous support and calm manner makes even the most nervous of drivers feel at ease. I had never driven a car before and heard horror stories regarding some instructors but with Dave I was driving back home on my 3rd lesson and have passed today due to his guidance, professionalism and skill. I am sad that I will no longer be learning to drive with Dave and I cannot recommend him enough as an instructor. What a brilliant instructor! When starting to learn to drive, Dave immediately put me at ease. He gave me the confidence in my own ability and was patient when teaching new manoeuvres.

After having many lessons elsewhere and failing to progress I took a break from driving feeling that I simply couldn’t do it and that I would never pass my test.

Fast forward a year later and David Bond is telling me I’m driving home on my first lesson and I think I’ve been given a mad man for an instructor.

All in all I was empowered to take responsibility and ownership for my driving, my confidence though fragile to begin with (there were some very ugly cries, there were silent weeps and even some pessimistic cackles) has continued to grow with time, patience and most importantly a good laugh.

I honestly cannot recommend John enough to learn to drive with! I’d had lessons a few months previous with another driving school and my time/money was wasted and confidence was seriously knocked but it didn’t take long driving with Redy2drive to help me build it back up again. I found John’s teaching methods so much easier to pick up and remember and always felt comfortable and safe on lessons, I ended up passing with 4 minors and am so proud of myself! I would definitely recommend Redy2Drive to anyone. I had two instructors before John and was failing miserably however Johns positive attitude and flexibility made it seamless and easy. John was so helpful. I had my test booked for 5th September and originally had a different instructor but due to some issues I had to change my instructor 2 weeks before my test. I was recommended John through a friend and it was the best decision I made. I wanted to change my test but John could see my potential and encouraged me to stick with the 5th. He was calming, boosting my confidence, showed me how to drive realistically and not just to pass the test. He was a star and because of him I passed my test first time round! I couldn’t of done it without redy2drive!

In short, I could not recommend someone more. No matter how nervous you are, you’ll be talked through everything until it’s second nature. John is incredibly professional but keeps you relaxed with a friendly attitude and a good sense of humour!
